Call for Nominations for the SUAA Foundation Board Prior to the Annual Meeting of the SUAA Foundation, the Nominating Committee calls for nominations for the following offices:
Chair, two-year term
1 Director-At-Large from Region 1 for a one-year term
1 Director-At-Large from Region 1 for a two-year term
1 Director-At-Large from Region 2 for a one-year term
1 Director-At-Large from Region 2 for a two-year term
1 Director-At-Large from Region 3 for a two-year term
A nominee may be nominated by someone or be self-nominated.
Before nominating someone for the above offices, please contact that person to be certain that he or she would be willing to serve if elected.
Alice Medenwald, Chair of the SUAA Foundation Nominating Committee will be responsible for collecting the nominations. Nominations are welcome by email – aamedenw@neiu.edu.
The following information is to be included:
Full name of the person being nominated and the name of the SUAA chapter they are a member of
The nominee’s email address
The SUAA Foundation office for which the person is being nominated. (Note openings above.)
In order to be considered by the Nominating Committee, all SUAA Foundation nominations must be received by Monday, May 22, 2023.
The SUAA Foundation was established in 1989 with the goal of providing the following services as deemed desirable beneficial, and fundable as determined by the Foundation Board of Directors:
Support for education and dissemination of information regarding issues affecting the welfare of members of the State Universities Annuitants Association (SUAA), hereafter called SUAA.
Emergency assistance to SUAA members who are in need of financial support.
Support to those Chapters establishing Survivor Assistance Programs.
Support a scholarship and grants program for members of SUAA and their families.
Typically there is one in-person meeting per year and all other meetings are held virtually. Questions can be referred to:
