Flu and RSV vaccines for students, employees, and retirees

I checked with Health Services and retirees are also eligible to get flu shots at NEIU. Please see the information below. Please note you must make an appointment.

Flu vaccines and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccines are available to Northeastern students and employees through Student Health Services (SHS) by appointment only, while supplies last.

The current available vaccines are:

• Fluzone 18+

• Fluzone 65+

• RSV 60+

To schedule an appointment:

• Email SHS at health-services@neiu.edu

• Provide

  • Your name

  • NEIU ID #

  • Date and time you are available for an appointment

  • The type(s) of vaccine(s) you are looking to receive

SHS will confirm an appointment.

For students: Flu vaccines are provided at no cost with or without medical insurance. If you have medical insurance, please bring your medical insurance card to your appointment. Students who are age 60+ wanting RSV vaccine must have medical insurance.

For employees: Flu and RSV vaccines are available with medical insurance. Please bring your medical insurance card to your appointment.

The best way to prevent the flu and RSV illnesses is by getting vaccinated each year, avoiding close contact with people who are sick, staying home when you are sick, covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, cleaning your hands, avoiding touching your face and practicing other good health habits.
