Free flu shots for eligible employees and retirees, Nov. 19-20

Free flu shots will be available to NEIU employees and retirees who are enrolled in the State of Illinois insurance plans on:

• Tuesday, Nov. 19, 11:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on the Main Campus in Alumni Hall

• Wednesday, Nov. 20, 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on the Main Campus in Alumni Hall

Each participant will need to complete a consent form before receiving the flu shot. This will be completed via LES Tablets. Employees must present both a health insurance card from one of the State of Illinois plans and their employee ID card to receive an immunization. Retirees must present their State of Illinois health insurance card and one other form of ID. If these dates and times are not amenable with your schedule, Student Health Services is offering the flu vaccine and other vaccinations. Please contact them at health-services@neiu.edu to make an appointment or to inquire about their services.

Dependents, spouses, contractual workers, consultants and employees who have opted out of the State of Illinois health insurance plans are not eligible.

Students are welcome to arrange a free flu shot with Student Health Services by emailing health-services@neiu.edu.

Those without health insurance can check the Chicago Department of Public Health Find a Flu Shot website for free vaccinations.
