Abigail Durkin, an Assistant Attorney General in the Special Litigation Bureau of the Office of the Illinois Attorney General, gives an overview of the work of the IL Attorney General's Office, including its response to federal overreach, maintaining the rule of law, and holding the government accountable.
Kristen Houch, the Director of Legislative and Stakeholder Relations for SURS, provides a presentation at the SUAA Annual Conference on the financial stability of the SURS pension system going forward, and how that stability could be affected by legislation passed in the Spring 2025 session as well other legislative proposals in the future.

SUAA President Randy Dunn Moderates a Discussion with Elizabeth Ginsberg, a senior policy analyst and urban planner at the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), and Alaine Gabarik, the Director of Policy Analysis for the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability (CTBA). The two discuss a proposal put forth by CMAP, CTBA, The Civic Federation, and the Illinois Economic Policy Institute that would apply the sales tax to consumer services to increase state revenue.
